Those who have suffered the loss of a loved one by suicide need help, comfort, empathy, encouragement. We
offer care through support group meetings, outreach, presentations, and more.
Triangle SOS organization works to educate the public in three areas of Suicide: Prevention, Intervention
and Aftercare or “Postvention.” We work alongside prevention organizations like Triangle Coalition for
Suicide Prevention (TCSP) and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to promote awareness in
our community and beyond.
Our goal is to unite area resources, including a cross section of community groups, to provide treatment and
resources to those in need. We strive to take away the stigma associated with suicide to further educate and
help people get the resources they need.
Every year on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, with the help of volunteers, Triangle SOS hosts a day-
long conference, which features a key-note speaker, discussion groups, and an opportunity for both clinical
professionals and survivors to learn more and to speak freely about the effects of suicide.
